On the official site for the director’s next original anime Hiroko Utsumi and the studies MAPPA, Bucchigiri?!, the main promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for January 13, 2024 in Japan, and shows a fragment of the opening theme titled “Sesame” has been interpreted by Kroi.
Hiroko Utsumi has previously collaborated with the studios MAPPAspecifically in the production of the popular anime banana fish. He has also directed other projects such as Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club, Free! Eternal Summer and the two seasons of the original anime SK8 The Infinity.
