Solo Leveling delays its next episode

After today’s broadcast, on the official site for the anime adaptation of the webtoon “Solo Leveling” It was announced that the broadcast on February 24 will be a compilation episode. Consequently, the broadcast of the eighth episode has been delayed until March 2.

It’s unnatural for a compilation episode to air so early in a series, although there is always the possibility that it was previously scheduled either due to a transition in the plot of the work or to adjust the schedule to the established number of episodes. However, considering the background of the studies A-1 Pictures in terms of poor production schedules that lead to delays (as happened with “NieR:Automata Ver1.1a“, “86: Eighty-Six“, among others), evidently the fans of “Solo Leveling” are more than concerned with this announcement. Will it be the beginning of a bigger problem?

It should be remembered that the platform Crunchyroll is in charge of its distribution in the West. For its part, Chugong published the original novels through KakaoPage between July 2016 and March 2018, with a total of fourteen volumes. A webtoon adaptation was published since March 2018 through KakaoPage by the hand of Jang Sung-rak and ended in December 2021.
