Otakus discover a group that rents brides in Peru

Recently, a Facebook group calling itself “Waifu Rental or Bride Rental Peru” has burst onto social media and has become a hot topic. Although the group has changed its name, possibly due to its growing popularity, it has more than 5 thousand registered members and has caught the attention of the otaku community in Latin America.

Peru

The group promotes itself as a girlfriend rental service, whether real or virtual, aimed at lonely and stressed men looking for a temporary solution to various situations. Among the reasons that drive members to join this community are the possibility of making their ex-partners think that they have started a new relationship or simply the desire to pretend to have a partner for a day to impress family and friends.

The description of the group makes it clear that their idea is directly inspired by the franchise “Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Rent A Girlfriend)”, a series that presents the premise of renting girlfriends for a short period of time. This has not gone unnoticed by the otaku community, which has reacted with a mix of amazement and humor to this curious trend.

The comments and reactions have not been long in coming, with ridicule and sarcastic comments flooding social networks. The novelty of the idea and its relationship with the popular anime and manga series have attracted the attention of both “Kanojo, Okarishimasu” fans and anime fans in general.

  • «It can’t be, I thought the group theme was a bait, but it’s really serious».
  • «Ugh, imagine those Peruvian rental brides».
  • «Damn, the good things are really only the polls in Peru».

  • «This is nothing new for Perusalén».
  • «There is probably a group like this for every country, but you don’t know it because you haven’t needed the service yet.».
  • «Oh, I really remember this. It started as a simple publication, who would have thought they went this far».
  • «Chale, Peru continues to innovate for the worse».
  • «Damn, it’s time to spend the month’s lunch money on renting girlfriends».
  • «I don’t know why, but it seems to me that they don’t even offer kisses during the date».
  • «So can I hire her and have her do my housework for me?».
