During the event AnimeJapan 2024the production team for the second season of the anime adaptation of the manga written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, Oshi no Koannounced that Its premiere is scheduled for next July in Japan. A new visual and special video for the project were also revealed, as well as new members of the voice cast.

The first season premiered during the season in Japan and had a total of eleven episodes, while the platform HIDIVE is in charge of its distribution in the West. For their part, Akasaka and Yokoyari began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Young Jump from the publisher Shueisha in April 2020. Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) writes it while Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai) illustrates it.

Synopsis of Oshi no Ko
16-year-old girl Ai Hoshino is a talented and beautiful idol who is adored by her fans.
