During the event AnimeJapan 2024 The first promotional video was revealed for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by hiten“Gimai Seikatsu (Days with My Step Sister)”. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the season of Summer-2024 (July-September) in Japan and lists the project’s production details.
Ghost Mikawa began publishing light novels through the publisher Kadokawa in January 2021, with illustrations by hiten. A manga adaptation by Yumika Kanade is published through the magazine Shounen Ace Plus from the publisher Kadokawa since July 2021.

Synopsis of Gimai Seikatsu
After his father’s remarriage, Yuuta Asamura ends up having a new stepsister, coincidentally the number one beauty of the school year, Saki Ayase. Having learned important values in relationships between men and women through her parents’ previous ones, she vows not to be too close, not to be too far away, and simply maintain a vague, comfortable distance.
On the one hand, Saki, who has worked alone for the sake of her family, doesn’t know how to properly trust others, while Yuuta isn’t sure how to really treat her.
