The studies MAPPA announced the production of a new original anime titled ZENSHUrevealing production details and voice cast. However, no scheduled release date was listed for this new project.

Production team
- Mitsue Yamazaki (Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios MAPPAwith the assistance of Sumie Noro (Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?, Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi). Yamazaki is also credited with the original idea in collaboration with the studios and Kimiko Ueno.
- Kimiko Ueno (Little Witch Academia, BNA, Carole & Tuesday) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Yoshiteru Tsujino (FLCL: Grunge, Taishou Yakyuu Musume, Tengai Makyou: Jiraiya Oboro-hen) is in charge of character design, and Kayoko Ishikawa (Sarazanmai, Fruits Basket Remake) is responsible for adapting them to animation.
- Yukari Hashimoto (Toradora!, Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu., Golden Time) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.
Synopsis of ZENSHU
After graduating from high school, Natsuko Hirose begins her career as an entertainer. Her talent blossoms quickly and she soon debuts as a director. Her first anime becomes a massive success, sparking a social phenomenon and earning her recognition as a brilliant and promising director. Her next project is a romantic comedy about first love. However, having never fallen in love, Natsuko finds it difficult to understand the concept of first love and, as a result, she is unable to create the storyboard, which stalls the film’s production.
