Jujutsu Kaisen asks to stop the leaks

The issue of leaks has always been something to talk about. While some see no problem in finding out in advance about the upcoming events of their favorite manga, others point out that this completely ruins the surprise that the author had prepared for his work. After all, not the entire chapter is filtered, but only the most relevant moment of it, which, in effect, reduces the impact that the author hoped to deliver.

There are many ways for the author and viewers to avoid this type of content. In the case of the author, the quickest option is that of Tatsuki Fujimoto with “Chainsaw Man”, that is, moving the manga completely to the digital medium. Because there is no way for something digital to “go to print first,” then there is no way to leak content before its scheduled release date.

On the other hand, fans can avoid leaks by simply not interacting with them. At the end of the day, what leakers want is presence on social networks, interactions, “likes” and reposts. If they notice that they are not achieving this despite offering content of this nature, they will eventually stop doing so.

Now, recently arrests have been made of members of popular leaker circles in Japan, who obtained editions of the magazines of different manga publishers that were sent in advance to stores in Japan. To understand this, let’s say that the next edition of a magazine comes out on Monday, March 11, 2024. Then the publishers already have printed editions from today to send them by mail to the most distant bookstores in Japan so that the launch is done the same. day everywhere. This is how leakers manage to filter content, getting some of these printed editions.

Anyway, there is a lot of material to cut from on the subject of leaks, but the official Twitter account of “Jujutsu Kaisen“, one of the most important works today and also one of the most affected by this, surprised with a publication in which he asked that the leaks of the manga stop:

  • «More information about the exhibition will be announced in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 15, on sale Monday, March 11. Please check it out! We ask for your collaboration to prevent the dissemination of illegally uploaded information as “leaks” before the release date.».

It is not the first time that an official account has called for the leaks to stop, but it is certainly a rarely seen event. In fact, the last franchise that had openly asked for this was “Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)” a few years ago during its final stretch. After all, despite the arrests against members of the “@Go_Jover” group, the account is still active and will reveal the leaks of the next chapter of “Jujutsu Kaisen” tonight, what can be done then?
