Now you can go to school as an anime waifu

The Japanese virtual reality and metaverse developer, AOMINEXThas revealed its plans to build a metaverse system intended for a completely virtual high school in Japan. According to a press release published in PR Times earlier this month, AOMINEXT will carry out this project in collaboration with Yushi International High School.

The virtual school will offer a three-year credit-based course, with a curriculum recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. The highlight of this project is that students will be able to attend school remotely using customized 3D avatars and graduate with regular school diplomas.

The key details are:

  • The three-year course will be credit-based and recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Education.
  • Students will be able to attend school remotely using personalized 3D avatars.
  • Virtual reality equipment will be provided free of charge to students.
  • The diplomas awarded will be equivalent to those of graduates from regular schools.

In addition to the standard high school curriculum, the virtual institution will also offer education in virtual reality and metaverse creation. Students will have the opportunity to participate in various virtual activities such as class reunions, esports tournaments, and virtual school festivals to stimulate interaction.

The registration process for the metaverse school is already underway, and transfers will be accepted mid-year. With this innovative approach, the virtual school seeks to offer students the opportunity to “be themselves without being limited by their appearance” and dedicate themselves to their studies without worrying about gender, appearance and complexes.
