A press release revealed that the light novels written by Ryousuke Hata and illustrated by KUMA“The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human (Maougun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen datta)”, will have an anime adaptation that will be released this year in Japan. The statement also revealed the voice cast and production team in charge of this project.
Ryousuke Hata The publication of the novel began through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in February 2016, and the most recent update was in November 2022. The publisher Futabasha began its publication on paper with illustrations of KUMA in September 2016, while a manga adaptation by Anajiro is published through the magazine Monster Comics from the same publisher since August 2019.

- Kouta Yamamoto (Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season, 86: Eighty Six, Bubble, Mato Seihei no Slave) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.
Synopsis of The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human
“The strongest mage of the Demon King Army” they call me. Ike, a demon capable of capturing a fort by himself. Clearing enemies with immense magic, he is undoubtedly a monster amazed by friend and foe.
