On December 25, authorities in Japan reported the arrest of a 25-year-old man in Kyoto Prefecture. accused of threatening to kill popular voice actress Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman in “Shingeki no Kyojin”, Violet Evergarden in “Violet Evergarden”, 2B in “NieR: Automata”) through an online comment forum. The subject admitted the charges after his arrest.
According to the investigation, the subject responds to the name of Fukuta Kishimoto (岸本福太), and his occupation is unknown. He was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department in November after mentioning voice actress Yui Ishikawa’s name on an online comment forum, saying he wanted to stab her to death with a knife.
The agency to which the voice actress belongs, which appears to maintain strict control of mentions of its members, quickly noticed the message on the Internet and filed a complaint with the Police, requesting the authorities to take action on the matter. In fact, Kishimoto himself had already been arrested in 2020 for threatening to kill an anime director on an online comment forum, earning him a fine of 500,000 yen (more than $3,500).

Since her debut in 2002 she has starred as Mikasa Ackerman in “Shingeki no Kyojin“; Violet Evergarden in “Violet Evergarden“; 2B in “NieR: Automata“; Enterprise in “Azur Lane“; Sei Takanashi in “Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu“; Riselia Ray Crystalia in “Seiken Gakuin no Makentsukai“; China Kousaka in “Gundam Build Fighters“, among many others.
