The editorial square enix announced through a press release that the manga written by Ryuuta Kijima and illustrated by Makoto Kisaragi, The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raids: A Tank with a Rare 9999 Resistance Skill Got Kicked from the Hero’s Party (Saikyou Tank no Meikyuu Kouryaku: Tairyoku 9999 no Rare Skill-mochi Tank, Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareru), will be an anime adaptation. The premiere is scheduled for January 2024 in Japanand the statement revealed production details and members of the voice cast.
For its part, Ryuuta Kijima The publication of the original novels began through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in July 2018, and completed it in February 2021. The publisher Shufunotomo has been publishing the novels on paper with illustrations by Sando since April 2019. On the other hand, Makoto Kisaragi publishes the manga adaptation through the service Manga UP! from the publisher square enix since May 2019. Synopsis of The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raids: A Tank with a Rare 9999 Resistance Skill Got Kicked from the Hero’s Party
Rud is a Hero Group tank and is said to have the highest defense in history. The group often goes on raids into the labyrinths, but for Rud, this means more than just a raid. To cure the illness of his beloved sister, he goes in search of the wish-granting treasure that could be hidden in those labyrinths. But one day, the arrogant hero kicks him out of the group after a failed raid attempt, blaming his abilities whose effects he still does not know. With nowhere else to go and nothing to do, he decides to return to his hometown, where his sister is waiting for him. On the way, he saves a girl who was being attacked by a monster. Unexpectedly, this girl possesses an extremely rare ability called “Appraisal”. Thanks to her ability, Rud is able to discover the truth behind her unknown abilities, which turn out to be very powerful abilities.
