Gotoubun no Hanayome: Miku and Nino’s curves go viral

The premiere of the second episode of the special Gotoubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets) on television, not only brought the project to adapt the story of the quintuplets to its conclusion (at least for the moment), but also A particular scene starring Miku and Nino Nakano also became a trend..

Let’s remember that this special adapts a story arc that was skipped in the main adaptation, where Futaro and the quintuplets have a summer vacation before starting the last semester of high school. This, then, would be the obligatory arc where the girls are shown in swimsuits, and it definitely did not disappoint.

The production decided to leave this in the hands of the studios SHAFTwho replaced Bibury Animation Studios simply to produce these two special episodes. However, SHAFT’s spectacular work was demonstrated for viewerswho now wish the studio had handled all the previous seasons.

And why are Gotoubun no Hanayome fans looking forward to this? Instead of explaining it to you in words, better see how the new design and animation style looks on the quintuplets in the short scene that became a trend. After all, there at SHAFT they are experts in drawing female bodies:

And of course, the comments were immediate:

  • «With this scene, I don’t understand how Futaro didn’t choose Nino».
  • «And where is my full remake made by SHAFT?».
  • «SHAFT did wonders with the story of the quintuplets, I am not even on my knees worthy of asking them to make a remake».
  • «A Quintuplets remake is probably the most unnecessary thing I’ve heard since The Last of Us remake.».
  • «Every time I watch something from this anime I think again, why the fuck didn’t he just keep Miku, or at least Nino? Damn. Yes, yes, the drama and whatever, I was fine with the cliché, but I can’t believe that even the end of Nisekoi left me less upset».
  • «How many times do I have to see Miku and Nino’s asses on screen to know that SHAFT should have animated Gotoubun no Hanayome from the beginning? I just logged into my account and I’ve already seen this like thirty times.».
  • «SHAFT was always the right studio to animate this story, but you guys want jobs done in a hurry and you ended up ruining Gotoubun no Hanayome».
  • «SHAFT could precisely give the franchise that boost it always needed, it’s a shame that now it will only remain a fantasy that will never come true».
  • «Indeed, all of these approaches were totally necessary to understand the plot of Gotoubun no Hanayome».
