The official site of the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Sawayoshi Azuma, The Foolish Angel Dances with Demons (Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru), revealed the first promotional video and visual for the project. In the video it was confirmed that its premiere is scheduled for some point in 2024 in Japanand Children’s Playground Entertainment studios in cooperation with GAINA will be in charge of animation. He also revealed the cast members who will be voicing the leads and the production team.
Sawayoshi Azuma began publishing the manga through the magazine dengeki maoh from the publisher kadokawa in June 2016, with a total of fifteen compiled volumes published to date. He is also the author of several hentai works such as “Gyaku Monkfish Queens“; “Service x Maid“; “Ayakashi-kan and Youkoso!“; “Senpai wa Minimum Girl“, among many others.

- Itsurou Kawasaki (shaman king, Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu, Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai!) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios Children’s Playground Entertainment in conjunction with studies GAIN. He will also be in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Yuko Yahiro (Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Kore wa Zombie desu ka?, Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
- Takurou Iga (Oshi no Ko, Tsuki ga Kirei, Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.
Synopsis for The Foolish Angel Dances with Demons
Akutsu Masatora is a demon who has infiltrated an institute in the human world. His goal is to find candidates to help Hell in the fight against his natural enemies, the angels of Heaven. Assigned a seat next to Lily Amane, another student who transferred here not long ago, Akutsu falls prey to her beauty and decides to recruit her to his cause. But there’s more to Lily than meets the eye, and Akutsu not only becomes an accomplice to one of the enemies he’s supposed to defeat, but he might also have developed feelings for her.
