During the event Anime Expo 2023the producer Warner Bros. Japan in collaboration with studios WIT Studio announced the production of a new isekai-themed original anime that will feature the team of villains from DC Comic, suicide squad. The project will be titled Suicide Squad Isekai and there was no word on a scheduled release date.
On the official site you can read the following description: «The group of the baddest villains lands in ISEKAI!!! The most dangerous and bizarre fantasy adventure unveiled…!!! Harley Quinn and DC’s Joker are already at ISEKAI! The Suicide Squad bursts onto the ISEKAI stage! A new original animation from Japan! The craziest worlds collide in an epic, violent fantasy with the strongest lineup of creators!».
Production team
- eri daring (Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru, Kochoki: Wakaki Nobunaga, Yu☆Gi☆Oh!: THE DARK SIDE OF DIMENSIONS) is in charge of directing the anime at WIT Studio.
- Akira Amano (PSYCHO-PASS, Katekyou Hitman REBORN!, Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri) is in charge of character design.
- tappei nagatsuki (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) and eiji umehara (Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song) are in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Kenichirou Suehiro (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, Goblin Slayer, Darwin’s Game) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.
