On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Haruki Kuou and illustrated by konomi, Liar Liar. The video confirms that The premiere is scheduled for July 8 in Japan.and shows a snippet of the musical themes, which include:
- May’n will perform the opening theme titled “LIES GOES ON“, while Smile Princess will perform the closing theme titled “faky merry game“.
Kuou and Konomi began publishing the light novels in April 2019 through the publishing label. MF Bunko J from the publisher Media Factory. The work is inspiring a manga adaptation by Funa Yukina, which is published in the magazine Monthly Comics Alive from the publisher kadokawa since August 2019.

Synopsis for Liar Liar
An “Academy x Mind Games x Romantic Comedy” story set on Academy Island, where students battle to determine their place on the leaderboard. Hiroto Shinohara obtained the highest score in the entrance exam for this school, the most difficult in the entire country. On his first day at school, he defeats the previous queen, Sarasa Saionji, and becomes the fastest student to join the school’s elite, known as the “Seven Stars.”
Except, it didn’t actually do anything. All is a lie. Now, in order to maintain his highest position, he must fight against these school mind games by using lies and deceit. He does whatever it takes with the help of the cute and tricky maid Shirayuki Himeji and even Saionji herself.
