A few weeks ago we published an article pointing out that within the popular franchise of Oshi no Kowhich is trending this season, there was a character who had a hard time becoming relevant: Ruby Hoshino. She is the female lead of the story, a girl reincarnated as Ai Hoshino’s daughter and Aqua Hoshino’s sister. Unfortunately, the current arcs have not given him prominence, so he has had no success or way to make himself known among viewers.
And it seems that this continues to be confirmed more and more, since a recent post became extremely popular on Twitter, racking up tens of millions of interactions in just one day. It turns out that in Cheer up Shibuyaone of the branches of the product store chain cheer up in Japan, two panels were put up that definitely became a sensation in the commentary forums.
The photograph shows a panel of Aqua Hoshino of Oshi no Koaccompanied by another Ruby Kurosawa of Love Live! Sunshine!!. Certainly the one that should be next to Aqua would be Ruby Hoshinoher twin sister, but apparently someone on staff got confused by the instruction she was given. Maybe they just told him, “put the Aqua and Ruby panels in the hall“, and took the first ones that he recognized with the name. Luckily he didn’t put one of Aqua’s KonoSuba!Because that would have been the last straw.
But what if it had nothing to do with Oshi no Ko? What if the instruction mentioned “Aqours” and not “Aqua”? That would explain Ruby Kurosawa’s presence then, but it’s definitely a pretty funny situation that fans used to re-assure that “there seems to be no way for Ruby Hoshino to become relevant“.
And of course, this did not go unnoticed in the comment forums:

- «Co-stars overcoming franchise barriers».
- «I would have liked Aqua from KonoSuba to appear!».
- «That? This is incredible! This is very tasteful…».
- «It’s too close! (laughs)».

- «It would be amazing to see a crossover, after all, the arch of the idols is coming».
- «Another route for my favorite girl?».
- «Are they a couple now? I can’t believe it».
