The season of Spring-2024 (April-June) has been full of long-awaited returns and premieres, but the anime adaptation of “Mysterious Disappearances (Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi)” is definitely one of the surprises. Starting from a manga that had gone unnoticed for almost five years, the horror story is definitely standing out for a different aspect: ecchi.
The story centers on Sumireko Ogawa, a busty bookstore clerk. (yes, that’s how the author describes it) who wants to become a novelist. When strange occurrences begin to arise in the city, he teams up with his flirtatious co-worker Ren Adashino to investigate them. But Ren himself hides his own secret, what will they discover during their investigation?
Well, it is Sumireko Ogawa herself, the protagonist, who has attracted attention on social networks. The production has focused quite a few scenes on her huge breasts, which reminds us in part of what happened with “Mieruko-chan” a few years agowhere it was supposed to be a horror anime but stood out more for the ecchi moments that Passione studios focused a lot on adapting.
In this case, the studies are Zero-G those in charge of this production, which you may remember best from other ecchi projects like “Tsugumomo” and “One Room“, so rest assured that this aspect is in good hands.
And of course, there was no shortage of comments:
- «Wait, does the busty girl turn into a loli? It’s doubly good!».
- «What are the protagonist’s abilities? I don’t understand».
- «Seriously, this season has the ecchi so weak».
- «Oh yes, the opening is quite direct in what will be shown in the series».
- «A 28 year old virgin, that girl is about to explode».
- «This is good? I have high hopes for this summer’s releases.».
- «I thought the young woman at the beginning was the heroine, but this boy is the protagonist».
- «This can’t be broadcast in China!».
- «Why are all the angles so erotic?».
- «Is this girl a normal person with a great face?».
- «What a waste of money, Masako Nozawa in this series!».
- «Is she funny? I still can’t give an opinion».
