As previously leaked, the anime adaptation of the manga “Tokyo Ghoul” will celebrate its tenth anniversary in July of this year. To celebrate this, The development of a special project has been announced and its details will be revealed soon.. What will it be about? The anime adaptation, produced by Studio Pierrot and released in Summer-2014 (July-September)captivated viewers with its dark atmosphere, complex characters, and exciting action scenes in the first season. However, the series received criticism for its significant divergence from the manga’s plot in the second season, as well as its hasty attempt to correct errors in later seasons.
Fans’ persistent desire to see a more faithful adaptation of the source material has been a topic of discussion for years. The possibility of announcements on the occasion of the tenth anniversary has revived the hope that the studios responsible will consider a remake or readaptation that faithfully captures the essence and depth of the original work.
Tokyo Ghoul Synopsis
A sinister threat is invading Tokyo: carnivorous “ghouls” that appear identical to humans and blend into its population. Secretive college student Ken Kaneki buries his nose in books and avoids news about the growing crisis. However, the appearance of an attractive woman named Rize Kamishiro breaks her loneliness when she proposes a date. While accompanying Rize home, Kaneki discovers that she is not as kind as she first seemed, and that she has deceived him with sinister intentions.
After a tragic fight, he wakes up in a hospital and learns that his life has been saved by transplanting the deceased Rize’s organs into his own body. Kaneki’s body begins to change horribly and she transforms into a human-ghoul hybrid. As he embarks on his gruesome new journey, Kaneki clings to his humanity in the bloody conflict that unfolds between society’s new monsters and the government agents who hunt them.
