The season of Fall-2023 (October-December) has been full of surprises, and definitely “The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You (Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo)” has been one of them. Known as “the KonoSuba of romantic comedies“, the series itself parodies all the clichés of romantic comedies and builds a harem scheduled to contain a total of one hundred girlfriends. Not only the story, but also the spectacular animation of Bibury Animation Studios It has been a determining factor in the popularity of the franchise upon its arrival on television.
The story stars Rentaro Aijo, a high school boy who has been rejected more than a hundred times despite being the perfect match. When he consults God to ask for an explanation, the Almighty explains to him that he has made a mistake with his destiny, but now that it has been fixed, it turns out that a hundred girls will fall in love with him as if they were soulmates. Unfortunately, because the concept of “soulmate” is practically divine within destiny, the girl will die if Rentaro rejects her.
This is how our protagonist’s harem journey begins, and where all the clichés of romantic comedies begin to arrive in the form of new girlfriends. The perverted one, the tsundere one, the loli one, the quiet one, etc. But the most recent episode brought with it a new girlfriend: the MILF. This is Hahari Hanazono, the mother of Hakari, another of Rentaro’s girlfriends. Certainly his revelation as the protagonist’s soulmate and his eventual inclusion in the harem took those who did not follow the original manga by surprise.
And all this was not without celebrations by the production team and fans. To begin, the production shared a special illustration starring Hahari:
Interestingly, she stars Sumire Uesakawho has previously played Hayase Nagatoro of “Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san“; Shalltear Bloodfallen in “Overlord” and Lum in “Urusei Yatsura (2022)“.
But things don’t end there, the episode featured a completely new ending dedicated entirely to Hahari. The sequence features a song titled “Kyo no Ending wa Watashi ga Kai totta kara Suki ni shite Ii wa yo ne” and performed by the character, and which literally translates as “I bought today’s ending, so you can do whatever you want“, referring to the immense fortune that the character has.
Akane Yanothe character designer for this anime adaptation project, also shared a special illustration to celebrate the inclusion of this character in the group. Curiously, the designer herself also participates as a voice actress, giving life to the cat that usually appears on the roof.
