On the official site for the anime adaptation of the video game Uma Musume: Pretty Derbya new promotional video for the third season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for October 4 in Japan. As previously confirmed, this time satono diamond and Kitasan Black will take the reins of this third season.
The second season aired in Japan during the season of Winter-2021 (January-March), while its distribution license is held by the Crunchyroll platform. Besides, Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is a multimedia franchise created by Cygames. A smartphone game was planned to be released for iOS and Android devices in 2018, however, it was postponed and released on February 24, 2021 in Japan.

- Kei Oikawa returns to take over the direction of the anime in Studio KAIreplacing studies PA WORKS from the first season, who this time are listed as assistants.
- shingo nagai (Cop Craft, Girly Air Force, Houkago Teibou Nisshi) returns to handle the writing and supervision of the scripts.
- Yousuke Kabashima returns to handle character design in collaboration with Tomoko Tsujiwith both also taking care of the animation direction.
- Yuuichi Morita, Taro Iwashiro and UTAMARO Movement they returned as sound director, music producer, and soundtrack composer, respectively.

In a world much like our own, the great racehorses of the past have the opportunity to be reborn as “horse girls”: girls with the ears and tails of horses, as well as their speed and stamina. The best of them train at Tokyo’s Tracen Academy and will hopefully achieve fame and fortune as runners and idols.
