As previously announced, on the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen, a new promotional video for the second season of the project was revealed. The video once again confirms that this second season will begin to adapt the popular Shibuya Incident arc with the episode scheduled for next August 31.
The video also shows a snippet of the new opening theme for this sequel, which will be titled “SPECIALZ” and that will be interpreted by King Gnu. It should be remembered that the Shibuya Incident Arc will be adapted into eighteen episodes of the animeas previously confirmed by the Blu-ray/DVD release schedule.
Gege Akutami began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in March 2018. The first season of the anime adaptation had a total of twenty-four episodes and premiered during the season of Autumn-2022 (October-December). Subsequently, an animated film titled jujutsu kaisen 0 and released in December 2021 in theaters in Japan.

- Tadashi Hiramatsu (Yuri! On Ice, Parasite: The Maxim) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
- Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Teruiand Okehazama Alisa They are in charge of composing the soundtrack.
Jujutsu Kaisen Synopsis
High school student Yuuji Itadori, who engages in baseless paranormal activities with the Occult Club, spends his days in the club room or in the hospital, where he visits his bedridden grandfather. However, this leisurely lifestyle soon takes a turn for the bizarre when he unknowingly stumbles across a cursed item. Setting off a chain of supernatural events, Yuuji suddenly finds himself drawn into the world of curses – terrible beings formed from human evil and negativity – after swallowing said object, which is revealed to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the “King of Curses”.
Yuuji experiences firsthand the threat these Curses pose to society as he discovers his own newfound powers. Introduced to the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical School, he begins to walk a path from which he can never return: that of a Jujutsu sorcerer.
