Solo Leveling will have a second season

After the broadcast of the final episode of the anime adaptation of the webtoon “Solo Leveling“, it was announced the production of a second season which will be titled “Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadow“. The statement did not reveal a scheduled premiere date, but confirms a previous leak that claimed the series would have “two parts.”

It should be noted that a new leak has now emerged stating that the anime adaptation of “Solo Leveling” would be scheduled for a total of six seasons., which would mean a complete adaptation of the story (and maybe even get into the sequel currently in publication). However, there is still no official confirmation of the information even though it comes from a reliable source. Whenever it is a leak that speaks very far into the future, it is better to have doubts.

The first season aired during the season of Winter-2024 (January-March) and had a total of twelve episodes. For its part, Chugong published the original novels through KakaoPage between July 2016 and March 2018, with a total of fourteen volumes. A webtoon adaptation was published since March 2018 through KakaoPage by the hand of Jang Sung-rak and ended in December 2021.

Synopsis of Solo Leveling

Since a portal appeared that connects our world to another full of monsters and creatures of all kinds, some people have acquired powers and the ability to hunt them, obtaining the name of hunters. The protagonist, Sung Jin-woo, is the weakest of the E-rank hunters and barely stronger than a normal human. He is nicknamed by his fellow hunters as “the weakest.” One day, he and others find themselves trapped in an extremely dangerous dungeon, and only a few survive and manage to escape. Sung Jin-woo himself barely survives and is the only one who completes all the tests in this dungeon, becoming a “player”, now being able to see an interface that shows him missions, statistics, inventory, stores and levels. Will he manage to level up to become the most powerful hunter?
