The netorare that ‘ruined’ an author’s career

In a few months, specifically in August, the tenth anniversary of the conclusion of “Tachibana-san Chi no Dansei Jijou (Tachibana-san’s Circumstances with a Man), a doujinshi considered legendary within the hentai fan community. It is a story that begins as a romance between a boy and his adoptive family.specifically his mother and adoptive sisters, but eventually it takes a turn towards the netarare (NTR).

Netorare

Although the doujinshi version is the best known, the original work is based on a novel written by Jin. Although it begins with the aforementioned vanilla style of a semi-incestuous romance (better known as “inseki” among the Japanese), Eventually the women are “stolen” from the protagonist by a group of subjects who abuse them non-stopat the same time they keep them threatened with publishing their sexual videos to the public if they do not obey them.

The protagonist discovers the betrayal and breaks off his sexual relationship with all of them, and time passes until he finally leaves the house while the women deal with their problems.since they have become pregnant from all the abuse (although the mother, in reality, became pregnant by the protagonist, as revealed in the original novel).

The author, Jin, leaves an open ending where the protagonist finds out that the group of subjects who abused his relatives (although he didn’t know this) He was captured by the police, but not before having released a film with all the sex sessions they had with the girls. Whether the protagonist saw this video or not is up to the reader to decide, since the story ends at this point.

The radical change of genre within the same story, that is, going from vanilla to netarare (NTR), made this work “legendary”, especially after the release of the doujinshi. But the impact was such that It apparently ended the career of author Jin, who never published another work again.. Perhaps he simply changed his artist name so that he would not be recognized again, possibly because he feared that readers would remember his name and not read another of his stories.

This is how the story of the “doujinshi that traumatized many readers” ends, and paved the way for many to like or dislike the netarare (NTR). It depends a lot on the reader’s mentality whether or not they enjoy these types of stories, but it is common to say that this depends mainly on whether the reader identifies with “the cuckold” or with “the gored one”, and not so much on whether he wants to live. a similar experience.

And if all this isn’t enough for you, why don’t we read some of the community comments?

  • «Shit. I remember reading this without knowing it was netorare. She broke a nut as soon as the infidelity scene began. I was scarred for a few weeks. Holy shit. This is probably how all netorare doujinshi should be. Probably a masterpiece if you like both vanilla and netorare. I hope the author is not dead. I’ve been waiting for Tanemori-ke chapter 4 for years (hoping this one won’t be netorare, but I doubt it)».
  • «For me this is one of the best works. Both in art and history. The way it was built, the way it was closed. It is perfection and I will put it on my shelf. Those who don’t like it should continue drinking breast milk from a bottle, because boobs are too much for them.».
  • «This is a classic and a masterpiece. It draws in vanilla readers at first and leads them into a harem plot. So when vanilla readers are hooked on the story, drugs and blackmail, and NTR kicks them down».
  • «Damn yeah, it’s very realistic. The way the women think in this story is very very real and how they rationalize things.».
  • «The drugs in the story don’t exist in real life, so that part isn’t realistic at all. It’s realistic in the sense that if you get a woman to sleep with you, she will rationalize a lot of things. “Did I sleep with him on the first date? It must be special” Anyway, in the US you never make out with someone by telling them that you want to sleep with them first thing. You connect, and then “do you want to smoke on the roof?”, etc. You can go from kissing, to caressing, to undressing. you are climbing».
  • «What I’m thinking about is when the hell is Jin going to release a new chapter of the latest series he started?».
  • «I mean… I still think the comments are extreme and wrong. But this is one case where I can at least understand your annoyance with the bait and switch. The first two books in the series were basically vanilla, without any hint of NTR, and then he dove right into the next ones. It would be like reading two nice vanilla doujins and the third in the series being pure hardcore and scat porn. You wouldn’t necessarily feel the need to read the third party’s tags, as genre jumps like this aren’t exactly common. The realism and quality of the series are not particularly relevant when you feel provoked».
  • «I’m new to netorare, but my background leans much more hardcore. I’m really surprised by the amount of vitriol Netarare in general receives considering what it’s depicting compared to the breadth of amoral content in hentai.».
  • «I stopped reading reviews a long time ago. A waste of time. Most of them are insecure hypocrites. What’s crazy is the amount of time they have/waste having shitty back and forth arguments. Anyway, I’ve seen some comments about the author’s death. It could be true, he hasn’t posted anything in years».
  • «What happened to this author? I keep seeing people saying he’s dead, but I hope that’s not true. I hope he comes back one day».
  • «At least the protagonist moved on from these women, it seems that the protagonist himself only saw them as sexual objects instead of a family. There is a fictionalized version of this story. In the novel, the thugs were not captured by the police but the mature woman became pregnant by the protagonist. She thus wins the battle, but loses the war».
