During the event AnimeJapan 2024 A new promotional video was revealed for the film project “Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture (Code Geass: Dakkan no Rozé)”. According to the press release, the film project will be released on four different dates in Japan, on May 10, June 7, July 5, and August 2, respectively.
However, for Western audiences it will be broadcast as a twelve-episode series through the Disney Plus service at the end of June. On the other hand, the video shows a fragment of the main musical theme titled “Roze (Prod.Teddyloid)” and performed by Hikari Mitsushima.
New voice cast members were also announced, including:

The original series premiered in Japan on October 6, 2006 and had a total of twenty-five episodes, a second season, also of twenty-five episodes, premiered in Japan in April 2008. Subsequently, a film project titled “Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch“, which premiered in Japan on February 9, 2019. This installment was developed in an alternate universe that continued the three compilation films released between 2017 and 2018 in Japan.

Synopsis of Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch
In the year 2010, the Holy Britannia Empire has established itself as the most powerful military nation in the world, beginning with the conquest of Japan, now renamed Area 11, after its crushing defeat. Japan, however, has been reluctant to bow to the Empire’s policies, and several inhabitants give birth to possible independence.
Lelouch Lamperouge, a student at Britannia, unfortunately finds himself caught in the middle of the crossfire between Britannia’s warriors and the rebels of Area 11. Lelouch is able to escape, however, thanks to the timely appearance of a mysterious girl named CC, who grants him a Geass, known as “Will of the King”. Realizing the potential of his new “power of absolute obedience,” Lelouch embarks on a journey under the guise of the masked “Zero,” leading a bloody rebellion against the Holy Empire of Britannia.
