On more than one occasion we have talked about the curious events that the otaku community prepares in Latin America, and today we meet again to review them. The appointment this time in Chiliwhere a fujoshi group known as “Club Yarichin” has announced a new event that will take place on March 2 and has labeled as “the largest BL festival in Chile“.
In case you don’t know the terminology, fujoshi usually divide homosexual anime content into two categories: he BL or Boy’s Love to refer to homosexual love stories where sex is secondary and the main attraction is romance; and the Yaoi, where sex is the main attraction of the story. In fact, “Yarichin☆Bitch Club” is the name of a manga Tanaka Ogeretsu which is often considered the flagship work of fujoshi. That is to say, there is no self-respecting fujoshi who does not know this work from beginning to end.
Well, the curious yaoi event will have multiple attractions such as the “mechanical tiling” (of which we recommend you look for photographs), exhibition of Chilean mangakas, burlesque, and even free HIV tests and talks on premature menopause in women. Obviously there will also be a variety of foods available (most in the shape of a male virile member) that will definitely raise more than one eyebrow.
But of course, you are probably reading this just to see what Internet users thought when they found out that Chile will host a yaoi event of this magnitude:
