  • «On the occasion of the live-action adaptation of the work (Oshi no Ko), the story has made several references to the entertainment industry. And there is also talk about the live-action adaptation of manga works. He doesn’t just say good things. He also says critical things. So I thought maybe (Oshi no Ko) will never become a live-action.
  • That’s why, when they said they were going to make a live-action version, I wanted to ask the cast and production team: “Are you sure this is okay?” I am infinitely grateful to everyone who accepted the project.
  • I am very interested in knowing what it is like to create a work called (Oshi no Ko), set in the world of entertainment, not from the point of view of the manga artist, but from the real world of entertainment, of real people in the real world, and what the final product will be like. I think you do too, right? I hope you will join me in finding out the answers to these questions».

The first season of the anime adaptation premiered during the Japanese season and had a total of eleven episodes. For their part, Akasaka and Yokoyari began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Young Jump from the publisher Shueisha in April 2020. Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) writes it while Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai) illustrates this.
