Fans turn Jujutsu Kaisen boys into waifus

Within the anime fan community, there is the “Gender Swap“, which refers to a character assuming a sex or gender role different from the original in a virtual setting, so artists on social networks take advantage of the opportunity to go against the canon of the franchise and create quite interesting works.

Eventually, this led to the creation of the “Rule 63” from the Internet, which states that for every fictional character, there is a recreation with the opposite gender or sex. It is one of the many “anonymous rules of the Internet,” and one of the most popular along with “Rule 34.” The simple paragraph simply states: “For every male character there is a female version of it. For every male character there is a female version of the same».

And why are we talking about this? Well, it turns out that a recent collection of images became a trend by showing sex-changed versions of different characters from the “Jujutsu Kaisen“, immediately attracting the attention of Internet users.

And of course, the comments were immediate:

  • «They look pretty cute, Gojo especially. Maki is still the best, even now that she is a man».
  • «What the hell did I just witness?».
  • «I’m calling the police because none of these girls are pretty».
  • «What they did with Maki is a criminal act, they completely ruined her».
  • «Meh, Maki still looks like Maki».
  • «I’d usually say waifus are an “easy win”, but the original Jujutsu Kaisen characters are already good on their own.».
  • «The funny thing is that one of them is not far from canonical».
  • «The female version of Kenjaku is already canon on its own».
  • «And what is the difference?».
  • «I saw Maki and thought, “Well, she’s still cute even as a boy.” Then I thought about it again, and came to the conclusion that she is not. She is already a beautiful girl on her own.».
  • «The worst part is that they look good enough to me, I can’t believe it».
  • «I don’t know, but I want to spend all my savings on a trip to Malaysia with Nanami».
  • «Oh no, Rule 63 has caught up with them all».
  • «Gender-swap sucks in my opinion. The edits are good, but I don’t like it at all».
