Evangelion: Asuka was ‘harassed’ in a supermarket

Within a popular Facebook group, a rather particular situation arose in recent weeks. A user shared a series of photographs of a beautiful woman doing a cosplay of Asuka Langley of the franchise Neon Genesis EvangelionAnd wrote “I just saw Asuka in the supermarket, I need you to help me win her over».

Although the original post began to attract a large number of comments from group members praising the woman’s body, Others began to criticize the subject for following an unknown girl and taking photographs of her without her consent.. In fact, even the networks that “reposted” this post experienced the same wave of negative comments:

  • «The way he follows her and takes pictures of her seems creepy to me.».
  • «I could start by not taking pictures of him without his consent, like a complete sick person.».
  • «It’s one thing to just take a photo because you thought it was interesting, but another thing is to keep doing it, and follow it apart.».
  • «I think the one who needs help is the girl dressed as Asuka, because of the stalker who follows her to take pictures of her without her apparent consent».
  • «The first thing you should do is not act like a stalker.».
  • «It’s fucking scary the fact that he’s following her without the cosplayer realizing it.».
  • «On the one hand he looks like a stalker taking pictures of her, and on the other hand, how can he like Asuka? What shit tastes!».
  • «It sounds like you need a restraining order to make you think.».

These users also began to massively report the original publicationwhich ended up being deleted so as not to harm either the user or the Facebook group in which it had been published. However, the user in question shared a second series of photographs showing that “he had managed to conquer the girl,” who appears next to him in a car.

  • «Don’t worry guys, I was able to conquer Asuka, we’re about to go have a snack. The previous post was deleted due to the countless simps who reported it. Next time be less prudish», wrote the user.

This began to be used to “shut up” the people who had complained in the original publication, but others found the outcome of this story quite strange. After investigating the profile of the subject who made the original publication, they realized that he already had previous photographs with this woman, which finally resolved the mystery: they both already knew each other.

It is understood then that the original publication was only to earn a few likes on Facebook or so that the members of the group, fans of Neon Genesis Evangelionthey went crazy fawning over the cosplayer girl. Although this outcome was positive, the situation of harassment of women is a recurring reality in Latin America, which is why the original wave of negative comments is understandable.
