We have previously talked about GEM Partnersa Japanese company that conducts weekly surveys to find out what the most viewed content is on television and streaming services in Japan. Although these surveys began with a participation small enough to be considered relevantthe most recent reports indicate the participation of more than 24,500 people through the company’s media, mostly electronic.
However, the company’s methods are still questionable, since they generally ask what respondents have recently watched on streaming services. This means that they are not popularity polls for the season currently broadcast, since someone could say that they “watched Dragon Ball recently” and this would count as a point towards this franchise within this list.
Even so, it seems that the results are attracting attention among opinion forums in Japan, since the ranking for the third week of October-2023 (10/17/2023~10/23/2023) they positioned Jujutsu Kaisen in first position, followed by SPY x FAMILY and Sousou no Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End).
