On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Satoru Yamaguchi and illustrated by nami hidaka, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (Hamefura), a new promotional video has been revealed for the next film in the franchise, It will be released on December 8 in theaters in Japan.. It is also reported that apparently this new project will feature a completely original storyso it will not give continuity to the second season.
The second season, officially titled as Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta… X (Hamefura X), aired during the season of Summer-2021 (July-September) and had twelve episodes, with crunchyroll in charge of its distribution in the West, and kept the same production team from the first season. On the other hand, the first season premiered in Japan in Spring-2020 (April-June) and had a total of twelve episodes.

- Keisuke Inoue (Midara na Ao-chan wa Benkyou ga Dekinai) was in charge of directing the second season of the project at the studios SILVER LINK.
- Megumi Shimizu (Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari, King’s Raid: Ishi wo Tsugumono-tachi) was in charge of writing and supervising the scripts in the second season.
- miwa ooshima (Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu, Chou Henshin Cosplayers, Gugure! Kokkuri-san) handled the character designs for the second season.
Synopsis for My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!
Most of the people would prefer to be the protagonist of a world full of adventures, be it in a game or in another world. But unfortunately, a certain girl is not so lucky. Recovering her memories of her past life, she realizes that she has been reborn in the world of Fortune Lover, one of the games she used to play. Unfortunately, the character she reincarnated as – Catarina Claes – is the game’s main antagonist, who faces doom in every ending.
Thanks to his extensive knowledge of the game, he sets out to escape the chains of this cursed fate. However, it will not be an easy feat, especially since he must be careful not to activate death flags that could hasten the impending doom he is trying to avoid. Still, to effect change that will affect the lives of everyone around her, she strives, not as a hero, but as a villain.
