On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Mojikakiya and illustrated by Toi8, My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer (Boukensha ni Naritai to Miyako ni Deteitta Musume ga S-Rank ni Natteta), the first promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the Fall-2023 season (October-December) in Japan, and reveals the main voice cast and production team.
Mojikakiya began publishing the novels on the service Shoutsuka ni Narou in 2017, and finished it in 2020. The publisher Earth Star Entertainment published the eleventh and final volume of the paper light novels in November 2021 in Japan. Besides, Kuu Urushibara is in charge of a manga adaptation that is published through the service comic earth star since May 2018.

Synopsis for My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer
After losing his leg as a rookie adventurer, he retired and returned to his hometown in the countryside. Doing things like gathering medicinal herbs, exterminating magical and wild beasts, and helping out with villagers’ farming chores, it’s hard to decide whether to call our protagonist an adventurer or a handyman. And while he was doing these things his age was rapidly approaching thirty. One day, while searching for herbs in the mountains, he discovered an abandoned child. Thinking that he couldn’t leave him just like that, he took him home and raised him until he was nearing forty years of age. Her daughter, now an adult, had also wanted to become an adventurer, probably because she had grown up watching her father.
Although his father had taught him the sword from a young age to defend himself, his talent with it was quite impressive. Thinking that it would be better for her not to stay in her field for the rest of her life, our protagonist sent her to the adventurer’s guild in the capital. After another five years, the protagonist, who is already forty years old, is still acting like a pseudo-adventurer in the countryside, but his daughter, who is now a distinguished S-class adventurer, has not returned home even once…
