A gringo YouTuber harassed people in Japan

On May 19, the summit of the main economies of the world was inaugurated in the city of Hiroshima. Group of Seven (G7). The leaders of the G7, including the three nuclear weapon states, United States, Great Britain and Francethey visited the Peace Memorial Museum in the Peace Memorial Park and then laid flowers at the Cenotaph of the Victims of the Atomic Bomb.

While many people watched the historic moment when all the G7 leaders gathered to pray for the victims of the atomic bombing, “an upsetting video” has caused controversy on social media. At issue is a video streamed by a foreign male YouTuber with 4,600 subscribers on the channel, which was reposted on Twitter and has since spread.

The YouTuber appears to have been visiting Japan and asked a passenger sitting on a train in English: “Do you know about Hiroshima and Nagasaki?” and “Do you know why the Japanese died (from the atomic bomb)? It was because of the attack on Pearl Harbor.». The window the YouTuber was sitting at displayed the station name “Ushigome-Kagurazaka” backwards, suggesting that the train he was riding was on the Toei Oedo Line.

The YouTuber then went on to say things like “Hiroshima, Nagasaki” and “I’m going to drop another atomic bomb» out loud while showing other passengers on camera. In the midst of this, a man the YouTuber was talking to relentlessly took off his glasses and stood up. Another man, who had been observing the incident, stepped in and asked the YouTuber: “Where are you from?” and “your attitude is too annoying».

The video has since been removed from the YouTuber’s channel, but the most widely shared video on Twitter has drawn more than 2.89 million impressions, with the YouTuber being criticized for the insulting act: “This is terrible»; «I’m really mad, it’s unforgivable»; «We are in Japan, right…? Why do they come here to bother?»; «This is hate against the Japanese people. Unforgivable»; and “Westerners turn the stupidest people into their influencers».

The date and time of the video is unknown, but the American YouTuber posted in the channel’s community section about a month ago: “Tomorrow I fly to Tokyo!». He has been posting about his stay in Japan for nine days. Also, the banner posted on the train in the video being broadcast shows a banner for the National Spring Traffic Safety Campaign that started on May 11, suggesting it is recent.

In fact, this was not the only time that the subject drew attention in the Japanese media. He also decided to walk through a train station with a loudspeaker playing a pornographic video at full volume, with the sole purpose of making those present uncomfortable.

But since he’s dumb enough to show his face during his broadcastsand since he did this during several days of stay in Japan, people began to recognize him. For this reason, during one of his broadcasts he was beaten while walking on the street. It seems that he was not as brave as thought, since he only limited himself to saying «stop please relax», and ask for help from passers-by. He also yelled at himfucking nigga», so it seems that the Japanese began to investigate ways to insult him.
