But, as if that were not enough, there are many other clues that have been left throughout the history of Oshi no Ko. For example, in the “Entertainment World Arc” it is narrated how Aqua Hoshino will participate in the anime adaptation of the manga “sweet today“. This is the same manga that is mentioned in Kaguya-sama: Love is War, when Kei and Miyuki Shirogane, and later Ishigami, cry after reading the touching romance story.
Another perhaps lesser known fact is the idol group of Ai Hoshinothe call “B-Komachi“. In one of the episodes of Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Ishigami’s love interest Tsubame sings one of this group’s songs.
However, the latter also confirms again that Oshi no Ko takes place several years after Kaguya-sama: Love is War. In the previous data B-Komachi is portrayed as a popular idol group, but in the chapters of Oshi no Ko where Aqua and Ruby Hoshino are already teenagers, this group no longer exists..
Also, there seems to be some relationships between minor characters from Oshi no Ko with those from Kaguya-sama: Love is War. Something that is not yet confirmed is the surname “Shiranui”. In Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Koromo Shiranui is a classmate of Yuu Ishigami and Miko Iino, while in Oshi no Ko, Frill Shiranui is a classmate of Ruby Hoshino. Both have the same last name and relationship with the entertainment industry. Could they be sisters?
But hey, the most obvious connection between the two franchises came in a special manga chapter published in August 2022. Ruby Hoshino is given a weekly magazine that she appears in, and Aqua Hoshino notices that she is wearing the same clothes as in the pictures in the magazine and catches her eye.
