The fifth episode of the third season of Kimetsu no Yaibabroadcast on May 7 in Japan, got a viewership rating of 7.2 percent in the Kanto Region (one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world). This is a high figure, considering that the series airs at 11:15 p.m., quite late at night in Japan. This episode also had a considerable increase in viewership from the fourth episode, which had 6.4 percent.
This fifth episode continued with the fight between Tanjiro Kamado and Hantengu, one of the Upper Moons of the group of demons. Tanjiro is getting overwhelmed by the difference in power, but with the power of his sister, Nezuko Kamada, his sword lights up red and he manages to use the Dance of the Fire God.. The episode closes with Tanjiro Kamado cutting off the heads of his three combatants, and the Pillar of Love, Mitsuri Kanroji, rushing to the Blacksmith Village and displaying his skills.
