Tickets for the Chainsaw Man event are not being sold

As we previously reported, the franchise based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Manwill hold a special event on May 20 in Japan. The fans really hope that this is the occasion when the production of a second season of the project is announced.but they also detected a rather particular situation.

Chainsaw Man

This event will have the participation of the cast of voices and the live interpretation of different artists such as TOOBOE, Year, PEOPLE 1, Syudou and others. Entitled as “CHAINSAW MAN FESTIVAL“, will take place on May 20 in two performances, one during the day at 11:30 a.m., and another in the afternoon at 5:30 p.m., both in the Tokyo Garden Theater.

Ticket sales began on April 1 in Japan, at a price of 6,800 yen (about 50 dollars) for any of the two functions. With only five days to go and considering the popularity of Chainsaw Man, tickets should be sold out by now, right? Well, it seems that this is not the case, since when checking the reservation site, tickets are still being sold for both functions.

The data drew attention in the comment forums, especially since it is a franchise like Chainsaw Manwhose fan base never fails to turn heads. On the other hand, the Tokyo Garden Theater has a capacity of around 8,000 people, so perhaps the production was exaggerated in the facilities reserved for this event, or perhaps they were too confident.

In short, whether or not the complex is full, many comment that if the franchise does not announce its second season in this important event, it will practically be finished. And it turns out that it is also close to the MAPPA STAGE 2023which will take place just one day later, on May 21. There are two perfect opportunities to announce the sequel, will it be in the paid event or in the free event?

As usual, Chainsaw Man It ends up attracting attention for the most curious things, how would its popularity have been with a much less scandalous production? Or perhaps with a less explosive fan base?
