There is no doubt that Jujutsu Kaisen and its second season are positioned as one of the most anticipated anime series of the summer of 2023 according to the large number of fans who have been closely following the return of this series that has swept both its first season and its prequel film. “Jujutsu Kaisen 0”.
Being only a few days away from the premiere of this acclaimed sequel, the official website of the anime based on the manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami shared the broadcast distribution of the episodes for Japanese television.
The second season will give the arc known as Gojo’s Past Arc, where the events of Satoru Gojo’s youth are addressed in the company of his classmates, Suguru Geto and Shoko Ieiri. Together, they are given the crucial task of protecting and escorting a young woman designated as the next Stellar Plasma Vessel. This arc will have a duration of five episodes, starting on July 6 and ending on August 3.
Subsequently, the series will have a big three-week hiatus where compilation episodes will be broadcast that will address the events of the first season and the movie. It is worth mentioning that there is no confirmation that these filler chapters count as official content, so on this side of the planet they would be treated more as blank dates.
Finally, it will be on August 31 when the normal course of the sequel is resumed to start the expected Shibuya Archwhere the tension grows due to a plan to trap Satoru Gojo forever.
Gege Akutami began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in March 2018. The first season of the anime adaptation had a total of twenty-four episodes and premiered during the season of Autumn-2022 (October-December). Subsequently, an animated film titled jujutsu kaisen 0 and released in December 2021 in theaters in Japan.

Jujutsu Kaisen Synopsis
High school student Yuuji Itadori, who engages in baseless paranormal activities with the Occult Club, spends his days in the club room or in the hospital, where he visits his bedridden grandfather. However, this leisurely lifestyle soon takes a turn for the bizarre when he unknowingly stumbles across a cursed item. Setting off a chain of supernatural events, Yuuji suddenly finds himself drawn into the world of curses – terrible beings formed from human evil and negativity – after swallowing said object, which is revealed to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the “King of Curses”.
Yuuji experiences firsthand the threat these Curses pose to society as he discovers his own newfound powers. Introduced to the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical School, he begins to walk a path from which he can never return: that of a Jujutsu sorcerer.
